How to configure my Basic mailbox in Thunderbird?

Once your Basic mailbox has been created, you can set it up in Thunderbird.

Follow these steps in Thunderbird to add your Basic mailbox:

1. Go to “File” > “New” > “Mail Account”.
2. Enter your name, email address, and password, then click “Manual Configuration”.
3. Fill in the following details in the server settings and proceed:
   • Incoming Server:
     Server: imap.mailprotect.be
     Port: 993
     Connection security: SSL/TLS
     Authentication method: Normal password
     Username: your email address
   • Outgoing server:
     Server: smtp-auth.mailprotect.be
     Port: 587
     Connection security: STARTTLS
     Authentication method: Normal password
     Username: your email address
4. Your mailbox has been successfully added to Thunderbird!
