Templates are preset pieces of information you can use multiple times. With Combell you can preset name servers and domain name contact information you can use when registering new domain names.
How do you create a registrant template?
- Log in on your control panel and follow ‘Settings’ >> ‘Templates’
- In the sidebar switch to the ‘Registrant templates’ section
- At the bottom of the list click on the ‘+ Add a template’ buttonTo create a template from the contacts of a domain name you already have in the account, check ‘Reuse the registrant’s contact information from a domain name that I already own’. Start typing the domain name in the next field and select it from the dropdown menu. The contacts will automatically fill the fields below.
- Fill in the rest of the text fields as suggested in the form
- To make this your default template check ‘Set this template as default template for future domain name registrations.’
- Click on ‘Add registrant template’.
How do you create a Name Server template?
- Log in on your control panel and follow ‘Settings’ >> ‘Templates’
- In the sidebar switch to the ‘Name server templates’ section
- At the bottom of the list click on the ‘+ Add a template’ button
- Fill the template label and name servers
- To make this your default template check ‘Set this template as default template for future domain name registrations.’
- Click on ‘Add a name server template’
How do you use templates for domain name registration?
- Log in on your control panel and follow ‘My products’ >> ‘Domain names’
- At the bottom of the list click on ‘+ Register a new domain name’ and follow the steps
- On Step 1 you can check availability and assign a registrant and name server template.
